Mr Yatzy hadde lenge gått å ønska seg et par cowboystøvler. Vi har gjentatte ganger oppsøkt Velouria Vintage og Fretex, uten hell, da min kjære har størrelse 46. Men så, av alle steder, fant vi et marked midt i Kuala Lumpur som solgte vintage amerikanske cowboyboots, hadde et par i 46, og var billige. Så da kan man si det ble handlings, og en påfølgende blid Mr. Yatzy.

Vi er for tiden helt inne i Baltimore's underverden, som er til å bli helt hekta på. Har tidligere bare sett en og annen episode da serien gikk på NRK. Likte den da, men det å begynne på begynnelsen gir en helt annen opplevelse av serien. Anbefales.

Favorittene i bladhylla
Glossy magazines + meg = sant, det har det alltid vært. Jeg er frelst. Det finnes ingen bedre ting enn å sitte med en god kopp kaffe/god vin og et rykende ferskt moteblad i hendene. Danske Cover er og blir en stayer, en skikkelig favoritt, alltid super layout, eksklusivt uttrykk og lekker mote. Kjøper også ofte danske Costume, som også er spekket med lekkerheter. I Norge kjøper jeg norske Costume, abonnerer faktisk, og er superfornøyd med det bladet. De har og finfin layoout, og bra, høyaktualt motestoff. Også er det kult å se norske fashionistas. I England, og land hvor Vogue publiseres, kjøper jeg alltid Vogue. Det er det største og mest innflytelsesrike bladet av dem alle, med både artikler å lese, samt motestoff, og ofte ville fashionshoots. Elle, Dazed&Confused, ID, POP og Love blir også ofte med i veska.

Det er ikke første gang man ser Hanneli i avklippet topp. I våres hadde hun den gode ideen å bruke en Wang singlett som mønster når hun klippet en singlett av en t skjorte. Super fint. Også fint med peek-a-boo bh'en som hun fronter her.

Rumpetaske
Fint. Er nok ikke helt klar for 90-tallsvarianten i multifarget, men en enkel en i skinn er fint. Kult om man får integrert den i antrekket som et kult belte. Og den er jo ganske praktisk egentlig. Med denne kan det danses natten lang uten at man trenger å lure på om veska ligger på gulvet et sted og bader i øl.

Vogue says
So what to buy for spring-summer 2010, if you will be shopping? Party dresses - lots of them, to be worn day and night: with interesting (and forgiving) folds around the hip for added shape. A jumpsuit - single shouldered or strapless if you dare. Loose trousers that taper to the ankle, preferably in silk. Bring shoes down a level or two, and if you venture from the washed out palette, make it a bold, tribal or ethnic print. A trench coat, long or short (or turned into a party dress at Burberry). A belt - skinny ribbons or wide leather versions; the waist intends to allow you to show off your curves next summer. And if your curves are that good, swimwear is teeny weeny as can be.

Det siste er A Doll's House, som er Hilde Holta-Lysell, aka founder of OsloStil, sitt sitste prosjekt. Maskerade
Stakk innom Therese på Little Miss T da vi var i Oslo i helga. Årets vinterjakke er derfor i boks. Clown coat i sort ull fra svenske Minimarket. I høstkampanjen er den stylet som Charlie Chaplin, og den er en lang jakke med herresnitt, som det er mulig å gjøre om stilen på ved hjelp av et tynt belte i livet, eller en nål i kraven. Fornøydings.

Høstutstillingen 09
Vi brukte fredagen til å surre rundt i hovestaden. Fikk lagt inn et besøk på Kunstnernes Hus. Høstutstillingen har i flere år måttet tåle en del kritikk for mangel på fornyelse. Årets høstutstilling viser tegn til forandrig, men det er mye man kan si man har sett før. Det første som møtte oss, var en uheldig fallskjermhopperdukke i et tre, som var helt fantastisk livaktig. Videre likte jeg spesielt godt Gro Thorsens mange små mallerier, og Kari Steihaugs verk De Ufullendte.

Fashion weeks både her og der
Har feriert meg forbi fashion weekene både i London og NYC, begge var nå i slutten av september, men oppdaterer meg fortløpende på ulike blogs. Vel så interessant som det som skjer på catwalken, er det som skjer rundt slike events, altså backstage og utenfor showene. Her er to modeller med funky hestehaler, foreviget av Mr. JakandJil, Tommy Ton, utenfor Matthew Williamson showet i London.

Jetlag og Drømmetur
Etter nesten tre deliciøse uker i supre Malaysia, var det rart-godt å komme hjem igjen. Vi har fått ladet opp med masse: 1) lesning, 2) strandliv, 3) snorkling, 4) fisk og mer fisk og 5) storbyliv i Kuala Lumpur, krydret med en hel del solbrenthet, svette og curry.

After almost three delicious weeks in fabulous Malaysia, it was a bit strange-but-nice to come home again. We really stored up energy with lots of: 1)reading, 2) beachlife 3) snorkling, 4) fish, fish and fish, and 5) big city life in Kuala Lumpur, all spiced up by sun burned skin, sweat and curry.
